Histibe – No Chains on the Moon

7,99 €

No Chains on The Moon is a groundbreaking 6-track album by Ukrainian producer Histibe, blending avant-garde beats with cinematic sound design. Drawing inspiration from Hip-Hop, D&B, Dubstep and Indietronica, the album tells a compelling story of personal growth and evolution, featuring Histibe’s additional vocals and collaborations with Balaksnky and Whensday. Histibe’s sound design explores the concept of self-expression, reflecting on the idea that on the Moon, there are no chains—whether they’re made of gold or heavy metal. And even if they were on the Moon, they would be six times lighter than on Earth. It’s a journey of freedom, where even the weight of limitations is much less.

This sonic treasure is a continuation of Histibe’s bold exploration into experimental electronic music, following Take The Form and Millennium Drum N Bass albums. The project features cinematic soundscapes, complex rhythms, and deeply emotive melodies that immerse listeners in an otherworldly experience. As with Millennium Drum N Bass, the cover art for No Chains on The Moon was designed by the world-renowned art director and long-time Histibe collaborator Joe Perez, whose works include iconic albums for top-tier American artists across genres. Histibe, based in Kyiv, Ukraine, continues to push the boundaries of electronic music, combining his role as a producer, visual director, and songwriter to create a truly immersive experience for his listeners. No Chains on The Moon is a testament to his ability to transcend genres and capture the essence of artistic freedom.

VIDEO + ARTWORK

A natural progression from the So Far Remix EP and Millennium Drum N Bass album art, this project sees Histibe once again collaborating with renowned creative director Joe Perez, whose work includes iconic projects like Kanye West’s Yeezus, Nicki Minaj’s The Pinkprint, Beyoncé, Lil Wayne, and other top-tier artists. This time, Perez has crafted a timeless album cover for Histibe, featuring moon phases in a minimalist style that symbolizes freedom and self-expression. The concept reflects the idea that, on the Moon, there are no chains—only the absence of what holds us down, whether in the form of gold or metal.

The music video for I.P. (Luna’s Version), directed by US-based director Zach Hall, earned digital awards in the Behance Motion category, curated by Adobe. As with his previous projects, Histibe took the lead in bringing together creatives from various media fields, driven by his passion for music and a desire to push artistic boundaries. His commitment to making the most of available resources continues to inspire others to reach for new heights in creativity.
